Best 50+ creams - TOP 5 ranking in 2025

We present an updated review of the best 50+ skin creams available in 2025. Creams for people aged 50+ are specialist products that have gained market recognition for their promises of intense hydration, wrinkle reduction and improved skin elasticity. We carefully analysed a variety of formulas, taking into account their efficacy, safety of use, value for money, capacity and user reviews. We checked to what extent the manufacturers' promises are borne out by actual effects. Based on this research, we have created an independent ranking, presenting you with the best, in our opinion, creams for mature skin currently available on the market.

The ranking factors we took into account were:

  • Anti-wrinkle effect
  • Nourishment
  • Hydration
  • Performance
  • Consistency
  • Composition

What ingredients to look for in a good 50+ cream?

  • Anti-ageing ingredients: Look for a cream that contains ingredients that fight the signs of ageing, such as retinol, hyaluronic acid, peptides, vitamin C, coenzyme Q10 or resveratrol. These substances can help to reduce wrinkles, improve skin elasticity and smooth the skin.
  • Intensive moisturising: Mature skin often needs deep moisturising due to its tendency to dryness. Choose a cream with moisturising properties, containing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, glycerine or ceramides to help retain moisture in the skin and prevent evaporation.
  • UV protection: Opt for a cream with SPF to protect your skin from the harmful effects of UV radiation, which is one of the main factors that accelerates skin ageing. Use creams with SPF 30 or higher on a daily basis, even outside the summer season.
  • Product texture: choose a cream with a texture that best suits your preferences and your skin's needs, be it a light emulsion, a cream with a richer texture or a lotion. If your skin is dry, a cream with a richer formula will work better to provide deep hydration.

Aggie is a brand focused on the needs of mature skin. The 50+ face cream with collagen, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E is one of their flagship products. These ingredients have regenerative, moisturising and rejuvenating properties. The Aggie cream was awarded as the best product in the 50+ category due to its unique formula. It effectively reduces visible wrinkles and fine lines while inhibiting the formation of new ones. The cream's formula promotes smoother and firmer skin and stimulates collagen production, maintaining skin elasticity. The Aggie cream also contains crocus bulb extract, which penetrates the deeper layers of the skin, and natural squalane, which prevents discolouration and evens out skin tone. The cream has a light texture, absorbs quickly, does not leave a greasy layer and works well with make-up. It is recommended to apply once a day, in the morning or evening.

Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity Day Cream SPF 15 is a rich day cream with added UV protection. Its effectiveness in reducing signs of ageing, including wrinkles, is noticeable. Regular use of the cream helps to reduce deep wrinkles and gently lighten discolouration. Active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, Thiamidol and Arctiin effectively improve the condition of the skin. Additional UVA/UVB sun protection is an important asset. The downsides of the cream are its high price and heavy texture, so it can roll off under make-up, which can be problematic on a daily basis. Despite these inconveniences, Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler is effective in and takes a well-deserved second place.

The cream by Dermika is designed for daily care both morning and evening.

Vichy Neovadiol cream was rated well by our testers, especially for the feeling of pleasantly hydrated skin. Its texture and ingredients provide hydration and improve the appearance of the skin, although it must be noted, it is based mainly on synthetic substances. Its alcohol content, may not suit those with sensitive skin. Some users may also not prefer the effect of shiny skin. Despite these minor drawbacks, Vichy Neovadiol is a good choice as a 50+ cream for mature skin, mainly due to its solid level of hydration.

Bielenda Super Trio cream is a combination of three valuable substances in the context of skin care 50+. The formula contains retinol, vitamin c and collagen, which are supposed to moisturise, reduce the visibility of wrinkles, as well as lighten discolouration and create a skin tightening effect. At first glance, such a composition seems to be a recipe for an effective 50+ cream, but it should also be noted that Bielenda Super Trio contains quite a lot of fragrance. The anti-wrinkle and moisturising effects are limited, this is not a cream that will be insanely effective, but its affordable price makes you give it a chance.
